Rules and Guidelines for the Race2Hermanus 2025
GENERAL INFORMATION
Pre-Race Briefing: An online race briefing will take place mid-week before the event. This includes a live Q&A session and a recorded version for later viewing. All race details will be covered, so make sure you attend or watch the recording to be fully informed.
Stay Updated: Join the official event WhatsApp group to receive important updates.
Swim Orientation: A short swim briefing will be held approximately 10 minutes before each swim leg. Last-minute instructions will be shared then.
Announcements: Race-day instructions will be broadcast regularly over the PA system.
Know the Rules & Route: It is your responsibility to understand the course and race rules. Study the route maps and guidelines beforehand. If you follow another athlete who goes off course, it’s on you.

Marshal Support: Marshals are positioned for your safety, not to guide you. Many do not speak English and will only be stationed on race day.
Withdrawals: If you withdraw from the event, you must report to the Information Station and inform an official.
Licensing: All athletes must hold a valid TSA license. Enter your license number during registration. If you don’t have one, a Day License can be purchased separately (not included in entry fees).
Respect the Environment: This is a nature-friendly event. Littering outside of designated zones will lead to disqualification.
Fair Play: Cheating or cutting the course will result in a ban from future EIM events if proven through protest.
Conduct: Any verbal abuse or swearing directed at staff or referees will result in disqualification. Treat all personnel with respect.

Below 15.9°C: Wetsuits mandatory
