The Kleinmond Bike Track and Park is Now Open for the Public – The Kleinmond Cycle club build and amazing park aimed at encouraging younger cyclists to take up the sport. Bicycle rentals for both young kids and adults are available. Test your MTB and BMX skills on this wonderful and fun track.
Kleinmond Bicycle park is only a 30 min drive from Hermanus CBD and there are many restaurants and pizzerias where you can enjoy a meal if you want to drop-off the kids. On Saturdays you will find the Kleinmond Market just across the street from the bicycle track or visit some antique shops.
You do not need to be a member of the Kleinmond Cycle Club to enjoy the perks of the bike track but joining has many advantages. Every other Saturday members will join the cub for a motivational and team buliding braai (BBQ)
The park and track is monitored by professional that will assist you when you have a break down. They will inform you about the rules and how to use the track. Parents can feel safe by dropping their kids and collecting them later during the day.

What the Kleinmond Bike Park offers.
You can easily spend the day at Kleimond Bike Park and if you do not own a bicycle you can rent one for the day at very reasonable prices.
They also have a small cafeteria (you can buy cooldrinks and coffee and sweets – fastfood will be available soon) with tables and chairs which is under roof but please make sure that you still bring some sun-bock to protect the riders from the scorching summer sun.
The staff is extremely helpful but they do have strickt rules that you need to follow to ensure the safety of others and yourself.
The venue is perfect for teambuilding, birthday parties or just to improve your MTB skills.
What you need to take with you when visiting Kleinmond Bicycle Track
The Kleinmond Cycle Club do have a small shop and you can enjoy a cooldrink and some snacks under the roof. However it is still advisable to take the following.
- Water
- Sun Screen / Sun Block
- A repair kit including tools and a patch replacement kit.
- Extra Tube for back and front wheel
- A safety cycle hat
- Some extra cash

Please note that all our routes are through areas with lots of fynbos. This means there will be bees. If you are allergic to bees, ensure that you take the necessary precautions.
Kiddies Corner
This is a wonderful play area for toddlers that has it’s own mini track with signs and a play park. Mini Schooters, safety helmets and small bicycles are available for rental on the premises.
Support Kleinmond Bike Track
With the support of volunteers (drawn from the club membership and others), community organisations, schools, NGO’s and the municipality, it is the intention to attract and develop young talent, primarily amongst the previously disadvantaged youth.
With the help of Overstrand Cycling, we will put a plan in place to help identify a number of individuals annually whom we can develop for provincial and national participation in mountain biking events.
The Kleinmond Cycle Club invites all cycling enthusiasts to enjoy the beauty of the Overberg. Well maintained routes take you through Fynbos with magnificent views of the Bot River Lagoon, the mountains and even views of the ocean in the distance. Organised social rides will lead you through the picturesque Bot River Valley and you’re bound to make new friends along the way!

The bike park is open everyday weekday (wheather permitting) from 08:00 until 17:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 to 14:00
