The Creator of the Iron Man Statue on the N2 close to Somerset West Ruben Schrade started this venture as his metal art is highly desirable by many metal art connoisseurs. The new and old mix of recycled materials on his art pieces is a great conversation starter and one could spend hours admiring his work.
Greyskull Metal Artwork includes the Sword of Excalibur, The Iron Man, Metal Guitars, The Iron Lady and the metal sculpture “I am”.
More about Ruben
Born in the mid 70’s Ruben Schrade grew up in the Somerset West area just 30 km away from Cape Town. For almost 20 years he had been working with steel products including welding, cutting and grinding that required precision installations. Ruben’s love for music lead to the creation of metal art guitars that is imperative to his success and the creating of Greyskull.

Ruben is well know for his unique and imaginary designs. Hours of combination of labour and passion has resulted in his unique pieces that is now available online that will enlighten your reception deco in hotels, restaurants or offices. “I Am” is his latest creation and we can’t wait to see more.

The Iron Lady was made from hundreds of pieces of off-cuts. It was created over a couple of weeks and Ruben made it in his spare time working into early morning hours.
